Zenith Shorthorns had its beginnings over 10 years ago with strategic purchases of stud females from Sprys, Marrington, Broome and Oakton. We have used AI and ET to improve the average genetic merit of our herd to the point where this year all heifers that will be introduced to the herd will be above breed average for the B3 index and most of them will be above average for the Supermarket index as well.

The goal of Zenith is to breed high performing Shorthorns. Performance is defined in dollar terms with most selection decisions being based on objective information (BREEDPLAN) and heavy use of the Shorthorn Export Maternal and Supermarket index to ensure selections are balanced. We also pay strict attention to structural soundness and temperament to ensure the animals suitability for life in the paddock.
